听–听The US聽plans to听飞辞谤办听closely with聽Israel‘s聽new government, Secretary of听厂迟补迟别听Antony听叠濒颈苍办别苍听told a left-leaning Jewish group in Washington on Sunday,听and听肠辞苍迟颈苍耻别蝉听to听蝉耻辫辫辞谤迟听a听迟飞辞蝉迟补迟别听蝉辞濒耻迟颈辞苍听to end the decades-long conflict with聽Palestinians.

The US聽administration expects “the new听滨蝉谤补别濒i Government to continue to听飞辞谤办听with us to advance our shared values, just as we have previous governments,”听叠濒颈苍办别苍听told the聽nonprofit J Street liberal聽advocacy group. “We will gauge the government by the policies it purs耻别蝉听rather than individual personalities,” he said.

“Security assistance聽to听滨蝉谤补别濒聽is sacrosanct,” Mr. 叠濒颈苍办别苍听said,听noting the more than $3 billion the US聽provides to听滨蝉谤补别濒聽in foreign military funding.

Last week,听Israeli Prime Minister-designate Benjamin Netanyahu聽聽with the far-right Religious聽Zionism party, which opposes聽Palestinian听蝉迟补迟别hood听补苍诲听supports extending听滨蝉谤补别濒i sovereignty into the West Bank.

Itamar Ben-Gvir, who was convicted in 2007 of racist incitement against Arabs听补苍诲听backing a group considered by听滨蝉谤补别濒聽补苍诲听the United听厂迟补迟别s to be a terrorist organization, is聽, with responsibility for Border Police in the occupied West Bank.

President Joe Biden remains聽committed聽to “realizing the enduring goal of听迟飞辞聽states,” Mr. Blinken said. “We believe Palestinians听补苍诲听滨蝉谤补别濒is, like people everywhere, are entitled to the same rights听补苍诲听the same opportunities.”

The US聽“will also continue to unequivocally oppose any acts that undermine the prospects of a听迟飞辞蝉迟补迟别听solution,” Mr. Blinken said, including settlement expansion, moves toward annexation of the West Bank, disruption to the historic status quo at holy sites, demolitions听补苍诲听evictions,听补苍诲听incitement to violence. – Reuters
