THE ORGANIZERS of Art Fair Philippines and Art in the Park have come up with a third fair 鈥 The Nonesuch: Fine Collectibles and Rarities, which showcases a vetted selection of art, antiques, furniture, jewelry, books, maps and prints, and other objets d鈥檃rt in a unique setting.

The fair will be held from Oct. 27 to 29 at The Gallery of The Peninsula Manila in Makati City.

There will be 12 participants, ranging from art galleries like Gallery Deus, Leon Gallery, and Gallery of Prints, to jewellers like Maria Angelica Rare Finds, Natalya Lagdameo, and Nicole Whisenhunt, and antique stores like Tawalisi Antiques and Unang Panahon.

An adjunct to the fair is The Nonesuch Salon, a speaker鈥檚 series of talks on a wide range of topics, at the hotel鈥檚 Sionil Jose Function Room.

Martin Tinio, Jr. will be talking about 鈥淭he Peineta: Combing Through Its History鈥 on Oct. 27, 11 a.m. This will be followed at 4 p.m. by Emmanuel Breguet discussing his family鈥檚 legacy in 鈥淏reguet, Watchmakers since 1775.鈥

On Oct. 28, 2 p.m., playwright and textile collector Floy Quintos will discuss the 鈥淭he Ifugao Bale.鈥 On Oct. 29, 10 a.m., Prof. Ambeth F. Ocampo will talk 鈥淥n Collecting and Stewardship,鈥 while Ino Manalo will tackle 鈥淩eligious Urnas鈥 on the same day at 2 p.m., while 鈥淟iving With The Best of Filipino Culture鈥 is the topic Augusto Gonzalez III will handle at 6 p.m.

Tickets to The Nonesuch are P350 for a day pass, and P1,000 for a three-day pass.
