The US Department of the听罢谤别补蝉耻谤测听said on Thursday that Neiman, the department’s assistant secretary for international finance, will hold engagements in听贬辞苍驳听碍辞苍驳听“building on President听叠颈诲en’s direction to听诲别别辫别苍听迟颈别蝉听between the world’s two largest economies”.

The听贬辞苍驳听碍辞苍驳听government did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Neiman’s visit comes as听颁丑颈苍补‘s economy slows, weighed by weak consumer and private business sentiment, high levels of debt and a property market downturn.

The meeting builds on听罢谤别补蝉耻谤测听Secretary Janet Yellen’s visit to听颁丑颈苍补聽in July, the statement said.

During his visit to the special administrative region, Neiman will speak with “diverse audiences, including government听辞蹿蹿颈肠颈补濒s, policymakers, scholars, the US business community and financial leaders”. Topics will include bilateral financial and regulatory matters as well as macroeconomic and financial developments in听贬辞苍驳听碍辞苍驳听and听颁丑颈苍补, the statement said. Neiman will also engage students and young professionals to听诲别别辫别苍听US-贬辞苍驳听碍辞苍驳听“people-to-people听迟颈别蝉“.

“Neiman will stress the United States’ foc耻蝉听on securing and advancing our economic and national security interests, along with those of our allies and protecting human rights,” the statement said. – Reuters
