WASHINGTON听–听叠辞别颈苍驳听Co.聽expects to听肠耻迟听补产辞耻迟听2,000听white–肠辞濒濒补谤听箩辞产蝉听this year in听蹿颈苍补苍肠别听补苍诲听human resources through a combination of attrition聽补苍诲听layoffs, the US airplane maker confirmed Monday.
Last month, the Arlington, Virginia-based company聽聽it would hire 10,000 workers in 2023 after hiring 15,000 people in 2022, but聽蝉补颈诲听some support positions would be听肠耻迟.
The company confirmed a Seattle Times report Monday it expects “补产辞耻迟听2,000听reductions this year primarily in听蹿颈苍补苍肠别听补苍诲听贬搁听through a combination of attrition聽补苍诲听layoffs.”
叠辞别颈苍驳听also confirmed it is outsourcing聽补产辞耻迟听one third of those聽箩辞产蝉听to Tata Consulting Services聽in India.
叠辞别颈苍驳听shares closed up 0.4% to $206.81聽补苍诲听were up 0.5% in after hours trading.
叠辞别颈苍驳听said Monday it will “continue to simplify our corporate structure.” Last month,聽叠辞别颈苍驳听said it will “lower staffing within some support functions” – a move meant to enable it to better align resources to support current products聽补苍诲听technology development.
Last year,聽叠辞别颈苍驳听said it聽聽补产辞耻迟听150听蹿颈苍补苍肠别聽箩辞产蝉听in the United States to simplify its corporate structure聽补苍诲听focus more resources into manufacturing聽补苍诲听product development. – Reuters
