While the campaign translates to discounts for select passengers using the transport booking service GrabCar, the star of the campaign is a one-minute video of people (and AirAsia) showing gratitude for things big and small.

鈥淸We handle] a diverse market [of passengers] for the airline… [so we thought] of doing something familiar,鈥 said David Viray, Philippines AirAsia brand manager, during a media conference on Dec. 8 at the Museum Caf茅 in Makati City.

He added that the video also makes 鈥渁 strong promise [about] service鈥 as the airline promises to 鈥減rovide first class service without the first class price tag,鈥 according to the press release.

The video, which has been up since Dec. 7, is currently viewable on the airline鈥檚 Facebook and YouTube pages and will be shown on cinema screens starting with screenings of Star Wars: Rogue One, which opened on Dec. 15 and throughout the run of the Metro Manila Film Festival from Dec. 25 to Jan. 7.

On its Facebook page, the video has been viewed 38,000 times since it was uploaded. Mr. Viray said that they are looking to build more 鈥渙rganic views鈥 before giving it a push on social media as a 鈥渟ponsored post鈥 (a paid advertisement on social media). 鈥 Zsarlene B. Chua
