FAST, DTI-Misamis Oriental partner to provide logistics support to MSMEs

FAST Logistics Group has partnered with the Department of Trade Industry鈥檚 (DTI) Misamis Oriental unit to provide logistics support to micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) participating in trade fairs.
Under the partnership, FAST will provide end-to-end trade fair logistics support for Misamis Oriental- and Cagayan de Oro-based MSMEs participating in trade exhibitions, product showcases, and market promotion activities nationwide.
The support covers the transportation of products and exhibit materials, warehousing or temporary storage, on-site delivery, and reverse logistics for exhibit materials.
Trade activities supported by the DTI-Misamis Oriental will also enjoy special logistics rates to help lower operational costs and improve distribution for the province鈥檚 MSMEs.
The partnership would also implement a forward stocking solution to help MSMEs ensure faster completion of orders and shipment, while being inventory ready.
The solution will be available for Cagayan de Oro- and Misamis Oriental-based MSMEs throughout the year, FAST said.
The company will 鈥渟upport the establishment and operation of forward stock facilities dedicated to qualified MSMEs endorsed by DTI-Misamis Oriental, which will also help strengthen local aggregation and product readiness initiatives,鈥 it said.
In Mindanao, FAST is also deploying its 鈥渕osquito fleet鈥 or small trucks, to support last-leg delivery and strengthen door-to-door delivery solutions on the island.
鈥淩ecognizing the province鈥檚 contribution to the regional economy, we continue to strengthen our presence and logistics capabilities in the area to serve businesses of all sizes, including MSMEs, in Cagayan de Oro and nearby provinces,鈥 FAST Chief Executive Officer for Logistics Manuel L. Onrejas, Jr. said.
At present, FAST operates four hubs in Misamis Oriental 鈥 Bulua, Tagoloan, Casinglot, and Opol. This supports distribution across the Bukidnon, Misamis Occidental, Lanao del Norte, Camiguin, and neighboring Agusan provinces. 鈥 Beatriz Marie D. Cruz
