ABOITIZ FOUNDATION, Inc. said it will be launching AIDA Plus, a digital skills training platform, that will give Filipinos access to job opportunities as the economy shifts to a digital route.

鈥淎IDA Plus represents the natural evolution of Elevate AIDA as we deepen our focus on creating real and sustainable opportunities for Filipinos in the digital economy,鈥 Aboitiz Foundation President Ana Margarita Hontiveros-Malvar said in a statement posted on the company鈥檚 website last Friday.

The platform forms part of the Aboitiz Group鈥檚 plan to generate 300,000 jobs through strategic partnerships and inclusive workforce development programs.

AIDA Plus is a new phase of Elevate AIDA, which focused on training women in using artificially intelligent data annotation as preparation for remote and digital work. AIDA Plus will broaden Elevate AIDA鈥檚 reach with additional training tracks like virtual assistance, cloud accounting, data analysis, and digital illustration.

鈥淎s industries evolve, workforce deployment must also evolve 鈥 from simply providing access to training toward building stronger pathways to employment, inclusion, and long-term economic participation,鈥 Ms. Malvar said.

AIDA Plus formally launched with the partnership agreements signing in Laguna and Davao, which pushes the program鈥檚 nationwide expansion and focuses on industry-aligned digital skills training and direct employment.

In Laguna, Aboitiz Foundation signed a memorandum of agreement with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Region IV-A and the Jacobo Z. Gonzales Memorial School of Arts and Trades.
The agreement aims to teach at least 500 scholars through a virtual assistance program directly linked to employment opportunities with Cyberbacker, a global virtual assistance services company.

In Davao, the company established a separate, three-year partnership with TESDA Region XI and Ring Circle BPO to broaden AIDA Plus in the province starting with at least 500 scholars this year. 鈥 Juliana Chloe A. Gonzales
