Police chief听says steps underway to ensure dismissed cops do not reenter the force听听听
NATIONAL POLICE听chief Guillermo T. Eleazar听on Tuesday said several measures are being undertaken to ensure that dismissed cops are not reinstated or rehired into the force.听听听
One step, he said, is expediting the resolution of appeals for reconsideration filed by听dismissed police personnel.听听
鈥淲e will work with the National Police Commission to facilitate the resolution of appealed administrative cases and permanently remove from service those found to be corrupt and abusive,鈥澨齅r. Eleazar said in Filipino.听听听
He has also tasked the听Philippine National Police听(PNP)听director for personnel and records management to create a database of all police personnel for easier tracking of听those听who听have been听dismissed from the service.听听听
鈥淚 have already instructed the (director for personnel and records management) to create a database of all dismissed policemen and immediately resolve their Motions for Reconsideration so that we can promptly block any attempt by them to return to service,鈥澨齢e听said.听听
