Agri dep鈥檛 creates anti-corruption committee
THE听DEPARTMENT听of Agriculture (DA) has created an anti-corruption committee听that will address complaints on graft as well as refine processes that are prone to abuse.听听
Agriculture Secretary William D. Dar signed Special Order No. 504 on July 19,听which formed the committee and designated Undersecretary for Special Concerns Waldo R. Carpio as chair.听听听
鈥淚n the interest of service and for the purpose of monitoring and reporting corruption-related cases in the department, a committee is hereby created,鈥澨齅r. Dar said in the order.听听
Apart from听monitoring听and reporting听corruption-related cases,听the committee is also tasked to draft and implement anti-corruption policies, programs, and activities.听
The听team听is also mandated to听identify听corruption-prone processes, set up听a streamlined complaint hotline,听organize stakeholders to complement the committee, and coordinate with the听Anti-Corruption Coordinating Council.听鈥斕齊evin听Mikhael听D.听Ochave听听听
