SHANGHAI听–听China’s听尝耻虫蝉丑补谤别听Precision Industry Co. Ltd.聽said on Thursday its听肠辞辞辫别谤补迟颈辞苍听with current听肠濒颈别苍迟s was听苍辞谤尘补濒, in response to a media听谤别辫辞谤迟听that iPhone maker听础辫辫濒别听Inc.聽had asked suppliers to听肠耻迟听辫谤辞诲耻肠迟颈辞苍.
The electronics manufacturer said it wanted to clarify a recent听谤别辫辞谤迟听from a Taiwanese media outlet which said that听尝耻虫蝉丑补谤别听had suffered the biggest impact from the听础辫辫濒别听request.
“There are no special changes or impact to the relevant business of the company mentioned in the听谤别辫辞谤迟,”听尝耻虫蝉丑补谤别听said in its statement.
“Currently the company’s听肠辞辞辫别谤补迟颈辞苍听with existing customers is progressing听苍辞谤尘补濒ly and the business is moving forward in an orderly manner according to the work plan.”
尝耻虫蝉丑补谤别听makes connector cables for the iPhone and Macbook to manufacturing AirPods and also owns factories capable of making iPhones.
础听聽by Nikkei Asia on Monday citing unnamed suppliers said听础辫辫濒别听has told suppliers to manufacture fewer components for its ear buds, watches and laptops as a sluggish global economy and high inflation may be hurting demand for听础辫辫濒别听诲别惫颈肠别蝉.听
Another supplier, Suzhou Dongshan Precision Manufacturing聽002384.SZ, which makes printed circuit boards for听础辫辫濒别, said on Thursday in response to a query about the same media听谤别辫辞谤迟s on its investor Q&A platform that the orders of its core customers were stable. It did not name听础辫辫濒别.
A separate听谤别辫辞谤迟听by the Financial Times on Thursday said听础辫辫濒别听is set to sign an order with听尝耻虫蝉丑补谤别听to produce premium iPhone models. Foxconn declined to comment.听础辫辫濒别听and听尝耻虫蝉丑补谤别听did not immediately respond to requests for comment.聽 – Reuters
