In July, the world鈥檚 most popular online video community YouTube began聽聽YouTube creators to join its internet鈥慺amous NextUp contest.
The criteria: 10,000 to 100,000 subscribers and at least three original videos posted in the past three months.
Today, they announced the 12 winners who will be awarded with mentorship programs, skill workshops and a 鈧100,000 voucher for production equipment.聽The channels were selected on the basis of their potential for improvement, capacity for attracting audiences, and alignment with YouTube鈥檚 core values.

These NextUp creators will also be part of the weeklong creator camp at the YouTube Pop鈥憉p Space Manila this month. At the creator camp, creators will team up with production experts to learn new techniques in camera, lighting, and sound, and receive coaching from the YouTube Partnerships team on how to grow their audience like a pro. They鈥檒l also get advice from previous聽聽and the opportunity to meet and work with other fast鈥憆ising creators in the program.
Since the program鈥檚 launch in 2011, YouTube NextUp has helped over 300 YouTube creators from 15 countries to 鈥渢urbocharge鈥 (their words) their YouTube channels. Manila鈥檚 winners are joining the ranks of past NextUp classes from New York, London, Tokyo, Sao Paulo, Berlin, Paris, Toronto, and Mumbai.
