Philippines lags in 2023 Energy Transition Index
s (ETI) looks at how well economies balance energy security and access with environmental sustainability and affordability. The of the report showed the Philippines ranked 94 out of 120 countries, with an overalll score of 50.2% on a 0-100% scale. Despite improving by 2.13 percentage points in a decade, however, the country fell below the global average score of 56.3% as well as Emerging and Developing Asia鈥檚 average score of 53.4%. This put the Philippines the third-lowest among its peers in the region.
