Kiehl鈥檚 launches own online shopping service
AMERICAN skincare brand, Kiehl鈥檚, has launched its own online shopping service in the Philippines where customers can get the 鈥渟ame high-quality skincare consultation from Kiehl鈥檚 customer service representatives at the comfort of their homes,鈥 according to a press release.
Customers can buy their Kiehl鈥檚 products via the Kiehl鈥檚 Philippines Facebook page or the Kiehl鈥檚 website — — to browse through the products and then send a direct message on the Facebook page to connect with a customer service representative. The representatives can give customers a 鈥渇ree, online healthy skin check鈥 or request for direct check-out. They will also be given samples during the process.
The cart will then be sent to the customer after which they will have to enter their payment and delivery details in a secure form. They will then get their confirmation and tracking number.
Orders are said to be shipped out immediately after purchase and customers ordering in Metro Manila will receive their orders in two to three days, while customers in Luzon will get their鈥檚 in two to five days, and those in Visayas and Mindanao in six to eight days.
The online portal is available from Monday to Saturday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
LONG TIME COMING
In 2018, Kiehl鈥檚 Philippines first foray into the online shopping space was made by offering its products through online retailer , but a few months later, they decided to pull their products out in favor of developing their own shopping channel.
During an even in March when Kiehl鈥檚 launched its UV Aqua Gel sunscreen, Joan Hwang, Kiehl鈥檚 Philippines Senior Product Manager told 大象传媒, that their stint in BeautyMNL was 鈥渕ore of we were trying our hand at it first.
鈥淣ow that we know how it works, it makes sense for us to do it on our own,鈥 she said.
She explained that one of the key advantages of Kiehl鈥檚 over other beauty brands was its personalized beauty consultation which allows skincare specialists to examine a customer鈥檚 face and recommend products tailored to their needs. They also give out samples so customers can try before they buy because Ms. Hwang acknowledges that their products are an investment.
鈥淏ut you can鈥檛 really do that [in Beauty MNL] so we wanted to recreate the entire Kiehl鈥檚 experience on our own online,鈥 she explained. — Z.B. Chua
