TECHNOLOGY services company PLDT Global Corp. has partnered with Canada鈥檚 Hasty Market to offer Smart Communication, Inc.鈥檚 electronic load products, PLDT Group announced on Monday.
鈥淯nder this agreement, customers will now be able to conveniently purchase Smart and TNT e-load products for themselves or to send to their family members in the Philippines in over 200 Hasty Market locations across Ontario, Canada,鈥 PLDT Group said in an e-mailed statement.
鈥淎s of 2016, Ontario, Canada is home to over 53,000 Filipinos,鈥 it noted.
Albert V. Villa-Real, senior vice-president and chief commercial officer at PLDT Global, said: 鈥淭his partnership enables us to bring our services closer to our kababayans (compatriots) abroad so that they can strengthen their connections with their loved ones back home.鈥
Smart has also teamed up with 22 partners in 16 countries to provide 5G roaming services.
It recently partnered with True in Thailand; Sunrise in Switzerland; SmarTone and Hong Kong Telecommunications in Hong Kong; Pelephone in Israel; Turkcell in Turkey; Ooredoo and STC in Kuwait; StarHub in Singapore; NTT Docomo in Japan; Vodafone in Australia; Zain Kuwait, Zain Saudi Arabia, and Zain Bahrain; China Mobile and China Unicom in China; Etisalat and du in the United Arab Emirates; FarEasTone and T-Star in Taiwan; KT Corp in South Korea; and AT&T in the United States.
