\nIn its December Asian Development Outlook, the multilateral lender slashed its Philippine gross domestic product (GDP) growth forecast to 5% from 5.6% in September.
\nFor 2026, the ADB trimmed its Philippine growth forecast to 5.3% from 5.7% previously.

\nOn the other hand, the value of production contracted for abaca (15.4%) and sweet potato (11.4%).
\nThe PSA reported that poultry grew 10.6% year-on-year to P75.96 billion in the third quarter, accounting for 18.6% of total farm production.
\nChicken production posted a gain of 12.4% by value, while chicken eggs and duck posted 7.7% and 0.6% growth, respectively.
