Flamenco performance
THE EMBASSY of Spain and Instituto Cervantes de Manila present Delicatessen, a sophisticated and delicate flamenco performance by the Compa帽铆a Anabel Veloso Flamenco Esc茅nico on May 25, 8 p.m., at the San Ignacio Church in Intramuros, Manila. The show, which is the first leg of the group鈥檚 Asian Tour 2018, will also be graced by two numbers by the Bayanihan Dance Company of the Philippines which will attempt to explore the common roots of flamenco and some of the Philippine traditional dances. Rock & Rhythm: Basti Artadi
THE lead vocalist of Wolfgang, Basti Artadi, takes the stage for a one-night concert at The Peninsula Manila鈥檚 Salon de Ning to perform music spanning two decades as part of the ongoing series, Rock & Rhythm. Plan of Fools featuring Basti Artadi will be perform alongside the Hansom Group and The Kid on May 26, 9:30 p.m. Seating is limited and available on a first come, first serve basis. AFTER its launch in April, the Manila Wrestling Federation (MWF) — a live athletic entertainment company — continues with its fun, family friendly and Pinoy-flavored brand of professional wrestling with 鈥淢WF 2: Maki-Wrestling, 鈥榃ag Matakot鈥 at the UP Bahay ng Alumni, Diliman, Quezon City on May 27, 6 p.m. The evening鈥檚 main event features the company鈥檚 two top stars: Robin Sane against Mr. Lucha, kicking off a tournament to crown the first-ever MWF Champion in December. French book sale
FRENCH books and magazines will go on sale from May 26 to June 2 at the Alliance Francaise de Manille Library. Books will be sold for P100, while magazines will go for P25 each. The library is open on Monday to Thursday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 to 6 p.m., and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. It is located at 209 Nicanor Garcia Ave., Bel Air, Makati.
Faber-Castell art exhibit
FABER-CASTELL Singapore will hold its second annual art exhibit from May 25 to June 3 at the Marina Square Central Atrium.
