THE PAINTED animation film explores the life and death of Dutch painter Vincent Van Gogh through his artworks. Directed by Dorota Kobiela and Hugh Welchman, it features the voices of Robert Gulaczyk, Douglas Booth, Jerome Flynn, Helen McCrory, Chris O鈥 Dowd, and Saoirse Ronan. The Washington Post鈥檚 Stephanie Merry writes, 鈥Loving Vincent is, indisputably, a technical achievement. Each one of the ambitious animated film鈥檚 65,000 frames is an oil painting, created by a classically trained artist in the style 鈥 or, rather, in the various styles 鈥 of painter Vincent Van Gogh.鈥
